Why use Flomist Nasal Spray?

Flomist nasal spray helps to ease the pain of allergic rhinitis symptoms like a runny nose, stuffy nose, and sneezing. It helps by stopping the production of certain chemical messengers that cause inflammation, allergies, and swelling. This stops the pain and irritation in your nose from getting worse.

Your doctor will tell you how to use Flomist nasal spray. You should use the spray every day to get the most out of it. Before you use it, gently blow your nose, close one nostril while you put the medicine in the other, and then take a hard sniff to get the medicine deep into your nose. And then do the same thing with the other nose.

A very common side effect of this medicine is nose irritation. Some people may get nosebleeds and headaches from this. Talk to your doctor if you are worried about any side effects or if it doesn’t go away. Taking this kind of corticosteroid medicine makes you more likely to get a viral infection, so you should stay away from people who have them. Simply put, you should try to stay away from things that make your symptoms worse. If you are taking this medicine, don’t smoke.

Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or nursing before you use flomist nasal spray. You need to talk to your doctor about the risks and benefits of this medicine.

Follow your doctor’s instructions about how much and how long to use Flomist AZ 50mcg Nasal Spray. Read the directions on the label before you use it. Close one nose and put the tip of the bottle in the other. Spray the sides of your nostrils, keeping the spray away from the cartilage that separates the two sides of your nose. Take slow, deep breaths and keep your head up while you spray. Keep doing the same thing for the other nose.

How does this medication work?

The nasal spray is made of a synthetic corticosteroid that binds very strongly to the glucocorticoid receptor. It is also thought to inhibit cytosolic phospholipase A2, which tries to control the biosynthesis of powerful inflammation mediators like prostaglandins and leukotrienes. This reduces inflammation.
