What to Know Before Using Tadalafil?

Tadalafil helps men who have trouble getting an erection (ED). One dose of ED medicine can work for up to 36 hours. It can also treat the signs and symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia.

It may also relax the bladder and prostate. 

Tadalafil comes in the form of a tablet and you can take it either once before you plan to have sexual activity or once a day at a lower dose. 

How to use Tadalafil

How to take tadalafil 

  • Before taking tadalafil, read the printed information leaflet from the company that made it. It will tell you more about the pills and give you a full list of the things that could go wrong if you take them. 
  • Follow your doctor’s instructions for taking tadalafil. Tablets come in different strengths. 
  • If you’re taking tadalafil 10 mg or 20 mg tablets for erectile dysfunction, you should only take them right before you go to the bathroom. You shouldn’t take them every day. Take one pill at least 30 minutes before you want to have sex (it may still be effective up to 36 hours after taking the tablet). You shouldn’t consume more than one tablet in 24-hour gap. 
  • If you are taking tadalafil 2.5 mg or 5 mg tablets for erectile dysfunction, take one tablet every day. Take the drug each day at the same equally spread time. 
  • If you’re taking tadalafil 5 mg because your prostate gland is too big, you should take one tablet every day at the same time. 
  • You can take Tadalafil with or without food. Gulp the tablet down with a glass of water. 
  • When you pick up a prescription, check to make sure it has the right strength of tablet. 

Tadalafil Warnings 

  • Sudden hearing loss or loss of hearing, ringing in the ears, or feeling dizzy 
  • Loss of sight all at once 
  • Keep all medicines away from children. Don’t give your medicine to anyone else. 
  • At regular visits, your doctor will do lab tests to see how this medicine is working. Keep all of your plans. 
  • This medicine could lead to the following: A low blood pressure (especially if taken with other medicines that lower blood pressure) erection that hurts or lasts too long Problems with hearing or seeing 
  • Tell any doctor you see that you take tadalafil. 
  • Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, or if you have kidney disease, liver disease, lung or breathing problems, diabetes, high cholesterol, cancer (including leukemia and multiple myeloma), sickle cell anemia, bleeding problems, stomach ulcers, problems with your penis, or eye problems. Tell your doctor if you have angina or chest pain during sex, heart disease, problems with your heart’s rhythm, high or low blood pressure, or a history of a heart attack or stroke. Tell your doctor as well if you smoke or drink. 

Special Advise 

  1. Take TADALAFIL 30 minutes to 4 hours before engaging in sexual activity. But it’s best to take it an hour before going out with a partner. 
  2. Do not take TADALAFIL more than once a day. Take TADALAFIL as your doctor tells you to. 
  3. If the erection lasts for more than four hours, you should talk to your doctor.
